On May 23, Mr. Li Kuan Yew, Minister Mentor of Singapore paid a visit to Jiangsu and attended the ceremony of Commemorating Suzhou Industrial Park's 15th Anniversary. On 24, Mr. Liang Baohua, Secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Mr. Luo Zhijun, Governor of Jiangsu met with Mr. Lee in Jinling Hotel and they had a friendly talk.
        Mr. Liang expressed warm welcome to Mr. Lee’s tenth visit to Jiangsu and reviewed the past years of Suzhou Industrial Park as well as his last visit to Singapore. He said that Suzhou Industrial Park was a great achievement of friendship and cooperation between China and Singapore. The Park, with joint efforts, has made remarkable achievements in the past 15 years. It not only creates a new growth pattern but also learns a lot of experience in developing economy and public management from Singapore. Suzhou Industrial Park is a model program of sound and fast development as well as Sino-foreign cooperation. Mr. Liang extended gratitude to Mr. Lee for his effort and support to the Park construction.
